Jose Torres is a multidisciplinary artist based in Stamford, Connecticut, with roots in Colombia. Drawing from a family history and tradition, Jose approaches art as both a technical craft and a deeply expressive act. His work spans a wide range of mediums—including drawing, collage, sculpture, and painting—allowing ideas to evolve freely and intuitively.

Jose’s creative process is guided by curiosity and reflection. Inspired by everyday moments, conversations, and personal experiences—including joy, routine, and trauma—he creates work that explores the layers of the human experience. Often starting with a simple sketch or collage, his pieces unfold organically, sometimes incorporating found objects to bridge the gap between the personal and the universal.
